Screech Owl

Geographic Location- Resident from New Brunswick, Maine, Ontario, Wisconsin, and Manitoba to Florida, Texas, and Mexico

Habitat- residential areas, deciduous forests, and farmsteads

Song- a mournful whinny, running down the scale

Location Observed- outside my window

Date Observed- 7/3/00

Personal Notes- One night I had a screech owl land on my windowsill. It wouldn’t shut up! It kept screeching away until I finally banged on the window loud enough that it flew away.
